1 Peter 2:9
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of the darkness into His wonderful light."

Are you longing for satisfaction? Do you want forgiveness? Are you longing for hope? Jesus is right there by your side. He loves you so much. No matter what you've done, He forgives you, wants a relationship with you, and wants you to come as you are to Him.
We can so easily focus on the things of this world and think that they provide all things you are looking to fill your life with. That is not the case. Jesus brings true hope, forgiveness, and your identity is found in Him. Of course, giving into this world can satisfy you for a moment, but you will always have this void after. This void that only God can fill.
It is not easy to come to the realization that God gives you satisfaction in one day. A constant surrender to God is needed day by day to see Him constantly reveal that your identity is found in Him.
Surrendering to God every day can look different in many ways. First, it's always best to start your day with God first from anything to a worship sesh, prayer, getting in the Word and many other wonderful things that would have God as your foundation for the day.
Fully surrendering yourself to God gives you the ability to tackle the tactics the enemy throws on the daily basis.
Prayer is POWERFUL. Pray to God in anything, and you will start to see His hand in everything.
By no means is it an easy journey to constantly surrender, but it's worth your whole life to find true satisfaction in Him.
God often will bring us through trials to reveal His plan to us. God doesn't punish us; He puts us through hard seasons to grow us. Through trials, God reveals Himself. The seasons we go through
Some seasons that we go through are the only thing that will bring us closer to God. It's a blessing rather than a punishment.
A journey of surrender is worth it with Jesus.
Your trials do not defeat you, but refine you, bringing God all the Glory.
What happens when we mess up?
God is of so much grace. On our own, we can do nothing. God provides that strength when we mess up. He meets us right where we are and doesn't look down on us, but walks through it with us.
When you mess up, God does not hold it against you, He meets you where you're at and is willing to walk with you to start again.
If you are chasing after this world, God sees your heart; He hears you completely. He truly knows you. Chasing after this world is not worth it, I promise. Finding true satisfaction in Jesus is so much better.
Community is so important to hold us accountable. There are some things that we do that are wrong that we do not know until someone points it out to us. Community as brothers and sisters in Christ is important to grow stronger in Christ.
Hebrews 10: 24-25 tells us, "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as in the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."
Proverbs 27:17, "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another."
In these two verses, Jesus shares that it's important to be united together as brothers and sisters in Christ, loving on eachother, encouraging one another. Being united makes us stronger through Him.
I know how it can be to feel uncomfortable to share your weaknesses as well as your strengths. Godly community is not a place of judgement, but a place of growth and accountability. The people are there to grow with you, walk with you as they help you to truly realize that your identity is found in Christ alone.
